The Weather Outside Is Frightful

It was the staff 'Al Fresco' Christmas do this evening. We all gathered outside, obviously, on the playground for a seasonal dinner of lamb chops and barbecued chicken. Not quite what they'd do in Australia but I suppose you aren't going to have a full roast and all the trimmings when you're catering for 100 in a garden.

For some reason, the playground was fenced in with a lot of multicoloured sheeting on frames so it looked like the walls of a circus tent. It was a nice night though; plenty of chatting to people who are already our friends and not a lot to people we don't already know. It feels a bit strange to have done it on a Tuesday but a lot of people are zooming off as soon as possible tomorrow night so we couldn't have done it then.
